Provides a basic understand on software development concepts from the ground up. Specific examples will be used for demonstration purposes but there is no requirement to have knowledge in a specific program language. This is a high-level introduction and not a hands-on programming class. If you are considering one of our other programming classes but have no previous experience we recommend you take this class first before jumping right into coding. There are no prerequisites for this class.
In order to properly master any skill it is important to start with a solid knowledge base. This is no different with software development. Even though there are countless programming languages to choose from they are all rooted in some very basic concepts. Just like spoken language mastering these core concepts can help you learn newer languages faster. The purpose of this workshop is to help you to start thinking like a developer. Once you have mastered the basics you will more easily be able to learn the syntax and nuances of any program language you desire.
